The Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA) is a nonprofit trade association of metal cutting machine tool builders. It was established in 1951 and reorganized to its present status in 1978 with an eye to ensuring the overall growth of the nation’s machine tool industry and contributing to the sound development of the Japanese economy.
In pursuit of its goals, the association undertakes wideranging projects through its standing committees as well as other ad hoc groups including extraordinary committees, panels, and study groups.
